 Product Description Designed specifically for the adult at-risk market, the new Freedom GPS Watch is the only wandering Prevention & Emergency alert solution with both fixed and portable Safe Zones in and outdoors. Freedom allows a high degree of safe independence for those that are prone to wandering (i.e those with Autism & Dementia) while giving caregivers and loved ones greater peace of mind.Freedom uses both RF (Radio Frequency) and GSM (Cellular) technology to communicate an individual's location. When the Freedom watch is within RF range of the portable RF Receiver Base, up to 30m indoors or 100m outdoors depending on obstacles, the watch is considered in proximity of the safe zone. If the Freedom watch and Receiver become separated by exceeding this user-controlled range the watch will then be considered out of proximity of the safe zone. An alarm will sound on the RF Receiver and the Freedom watch will connect to the GSM cellular network and begin transmitting its position to pre-determined recipients via email and SMS. While the watch is out of proximity a care giver or loved one can send a "Where Are You" request to the watch by texting "WRU" from their mobile phone. The system will then respond with a street address, if available, or the wearer's latitude/longitude. When the watch and receiver are back in proximity the GSM is disabled.A secure customer portal is available via the internet. Since the Freedom technology involves the use of a hosted mapping site and cellular service, a monthly subscription plan is required.
